There is a day in spring
the grass greens
like a waking child
vast meadows lawns
light up like sky at dawn
the day has come
it is a declaration spring is here
soon skin will feel the same
and peer out of cloth
and green and skin and loveliness
will all sing spring
and summer will be near.
