Upstream out of sight is where I’m going
To buy gas for the boat.
Adams MArina is a couple of miles up
On the Snye; I have a route that I vaguely remember
Out back of the island
Then directly up the back channel
‘Til I hit the cut through weed beds
Directly over to Snye,
And I come in just a minute or so
Above Adam’s Marina.
I don’t have much gas; in fact,
The gauge says I’m almost empty.
Does this sound like an alllegory I’m trapped in?
I’m just going to get gas for the boat . . . .
