cocoon

Inside the fine spun threads
is what will come:
beautiful wings,
gleaming reds, yellows, blues,
curves and strength,
the freedom of flight
instead of plodding,
gnawing eating.

Inside the embracing threads
is self-centred
personal perfection.

Retirement can become
a silken paradise:
here we live,
insulated, delimited
by experience,
justified by age.
But this cocoon
will birth
no flying marvelous creature;
from this unraveled silk
is suspended only
a body falling
to earth.

There is a charm and meaning to every phase of life.We have to make best from whatever we have and what all we can do.We can never store anything forever, but yes, sweet memories that we create by our own can keep on lingering throughout our life. That is our part…to show always that we are lively!
