Past Sioux Lookout

[another in the trip west/snow series]

From the first class dome car
I look out on the past:
the snow-smeared
crisp-cold north Ontario
bush or spruce birch poplar
skinny straight trees
new growth or stunted
short vistas of crowded
rampant slow growth
deserted digs
viewed causually
through insulated
curved glass.
Director of conservancy
