Departure is a welcome betrayal
Heartbreaking, hopeful:
My sons, my daughter,
You visit, stay a while:
Dismay, delight, perplex,
Enthrall, reveal, astonish.
Then as always, it is time to go:
My heart breaks, as I said,
I am emptied, then adjust
And we each take a path
Our own: complete.

Doug;
I keep saying I can’t comment anymore and then am moved to say, if nothing else, how powerful I find all of these. You continually bring me right to the hot core of whatever it is you’re talking about!
