My intent yesterday, in writing this little poem — which appears in yesterday’s entry below — was to create a new symbol for “love”, in contrast to H8, which is pretty easily clear. The process started in a dream, in which I tried to do just that.
I hope there are enough clues in the almost-haiku to make it intelligible:
the title has a bilingual quality, with the second word en français — the fact that the word in the title is uncapitalized is a clue;
“LOL”, of course, means “laughing out loud”;
“H8″ means “hate”;
“L’0″ is the part en français — the second symbol in it is zero, which in French (tennis particularly) is “l’oeuf”, (the egg) or “love”.
So:
Laughing out loud above,
What the world needs now
Is not hate but love.
— too obscure?
