“S“, like “U” and “C”
is a kind of rocking horse letter
without a firm base:
always moving —
a little evasive.
Sometimes it’s Strong,
Sometimes it’s Slithery-Shifty
Now, if you ask Scribes
who live on mountaintops
they will Say
you can’t blame a letter
for the words it’s in —
But I disagree with that:
Somehow, people attract
the company they keep,
and I think that’s true of
letters, too.
