For a while, yesterday,
\nthe only explanation was
\nthe cat had stolen the keys.<\/p>\n
We were headed out
\nfor a grocery shopping
\nsession, to stock up
\non various items
\nnecessary to life and limb.<\/p>\n
But we couldn’t leave
\nbecause the sacred
\ncar key was mysteriously
\ngone.<\/p>\n
We retraced my steps:
\nthe night before
\nI had entered
\nafter the movie
\nand had done
\nso and so
\nand had certainly
\nplaced the keys
\nin the usual spot
\nbut there they were:
\ngone.<\/p>\n
We looked for
\ntwenty minutes
\nand finally departed
\nusing the spare keys
\nmystified, blaming
\nthe cat or
\na cat burglar.<\/p>\n
It was not until
\nwe were on our way
\nback to the car with
\nour purchases
\nthat I reached into my pocket
\nand found both
\nsets of keys.<\/p>\n
Flora, of course,
\nlaughed all day.<\/p>\n
