\nconveyor belt I know it’s counterproductive
\nthis urge to acquire things when
\nclouds hang over my shoulders and
\nI should cheer up and go out and fly a kite because
\nspring is supposed to be on the way after
\nthis snow-sogged winter we’ve just slogged through but
\nI worry that all this history of technological
\nexcellence that Da Vinci could only dream about
\ndoes not really separate me securely
\nfrom the wolves waiting over the horizon
\nand that some day I will be foraging
