We all know that you can’t rhyme “silver”
\nbut think for a moment of cousin Wilbur
\nwho said the same is true for “orange”
\nbefore he left us all to forage
\nfor the laces green and purple
\nof his Myrtle’s Playtex girdle.<\/p>\n
Rhyming silver made me shiver;
\nrhyming orange paid my mortgage;
\npurple stunned a turquoise turtle.<\/p>\n
*based on the urban myth that there is no word in the English language that rhymes with purple or silver or orange.
