curiosity as the farmer’s life unfolds
\nacross the fields to the forest of trolls
\ndeep into the woods the farmer goes
\nwill he come back? nobody knows
\nsoftly behind him little child treads
\nforgetting the safety of soft warm beds
\ngripping the hoe that the farmer carries
\nfighting beside him as he thrusts and parries
\nthen finally below he sees the throng
\nof fairies singing a lullaby song
