After a bunch of reverses and retries
\nI parallel parked the Lexus in the spot
\nright in front of the door to the Rolex store.

The guy was lying on the pavement
\njust beside the BMW behind me,
\nhooked around a wrought iron flower stand,
\nclumsily, dreamily avoiding two cops
\nwho were carefully trying to lift him
\nand stow him in the double-parked ambulance
\nthat had impeded my parking manoeuver.<\/p>\n
They were having trouble because
\nhe was soft, like limp rubber;
\nhe was having trouble because
\nhe could not find horizontal;
\nI was having trouble
\nbecause I knew right then that time
