Very messy spiders

\nhad left wind-kotted webs,
\nguano, and all the
\ninsect corpses and loose debris
\nthat could befoul a boat
\nsitting in full dark red canvas
\nat its roofed slip
\nbeside the boathouse.<\/p>\n
If you had been watching
\nfrom along the shore
\nyou would have thought
\nI was Don Quixote
\nagain battling a virtual
\nenemy with a virtual sabre:
\nI flailed and swung my arms
\nand opened up and shook out
\nand dumped overboard
\nnothing you could see
\nbut finally got us under way.<\/p>\n
The boat is ours again,
\nbut the real cleanup
\nwill have to wait;
