I was born
\nand grew up in
\na northern Ontario
\ntown that starts with “K<\/strong>”
\nand sort of ends with “K<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

One of my favourite
\nearly songs was
\n“K<\/strong>–K<\/strong>–K<\/strong>–K<\/strong>atie”<\/p>\n

Latin had no “K<\/strong>”
\nand that’s strange,
\nbecause “K<\/strong>”
\nengraves in stone easily
\n\u2014 and that brings up shape:<\/p>\n

“K<\/strong>”
\nIf you look at it
\nit kind of resembles
\na collision vector
\nor somebody standing askance
\nor the end of a blueprint dimension
\n— an end
\na middle or a beginning.<\/p>\n

I get the feeling either
\n“K<\/strong>” can’t make up its mind
\nor we can’t
\nand never will.<\/p>\n

I think we lost our chance
\nwhen the Romans wouldn’t
\ntake it on.
