Late afternoon snow fell
\nlike confetti from the twilit sky:
\ngrey flakes crowded the air,
\nplastered east sides of trees
\nimpasto, leaving a work
\nby some pallette knife artist
\nwhiting out everything from his view<\/p>\n
but from my angle
\nthere are still black rough edges
\nsketched in and although
\nthe winter-fraught grass is
\nall but buried, I see it, too
\nand in it,
\na promise
\nthat this squeaky
\ngrey twilight kludge
\nthat records our crunchy progress
\nlike plaster casts at a crime scene
