stuck my finger out the door
\npulled finger back pretty fast
\ncat won’t go outside
\nkid’s tongue stuck to a steel pole
\nbreath froze like a thunder cloud
\ntalk is of wollies for the rest of the winter

\npalmy breezes shirtsleeve weather
\nglobal warming got a boost
\npoliticians rolling up their elbows
\ngoing to fix it arrogance<\/p>\n
on a scale of one to a million
\nwhere one is normal weather
\nand a million is planet pulverization
\nthis winter ranks about a ten
\nyawn
\nwhen I was a kid
\nwe had pretty much all this
\nand more
\nI walked uphill through waist-deep snow
\nboth going to school and coming home
\nmy fingers froze and dropped off
\nheck my arms turned black
\nand that was in bed
\nwe sure were relieved when summer came
\n‘course it only stayed for five days<\/p>\n
