\nMuch as his wife used to endure such invasion
\nwhen she was an object of interest to medical plumbers
\nhereafter known as ob-gyn practitioners
\nand had to turn years of modesty conditioning

\nupside-down and let her private parts be
\nobjects of intense scrutiny and speculation
\nnow he was about to continue his adventure
\nin which the only practical course was to
\nwhat the heck let it all hang out<\/p>\n
There was a time all “male” issues
\nin the sedate lives of hospitals
\nwere handled by orderlies;
\nnurses stayed away. Not so lately:
\nhis catheter a few years before
\nwas installed by a very professional
\npost-pubescent blonde
\nwho gave his virility an
\nunwanted unexpected
\ntest in verticality
\nthat wasn’t supposed to happen
\nin the chaste sixth decade of his life
\n\u2014 at least that’s what he had thought . . . .
\nSo as it turns out, about the stirrups thing:
\nwifey is having the last laugh, it would seem
\nat least she sure thinks it’s funny that
\nhe’s getting to test his spurs
\nas he had urged her to, so many years ago.<\/p>\n
He hasn’t told his earnestly
\nsolicitous buddies
\nthat one, yet.
\nThey can keep their
\ncowboy jokes
