Oh his cigarette smoke was
\ncurling ’round his
\nblonde hair like a halo
\nas he leaned against
\nthe barberpole on
\nthe front of Louie’s
\nBarbershop and he
\nexhaled like a soldier
\nwith ten minutes before
\nthe orders came
\nand that was when old
\nLiliannette walked by.<\/p>\n
Well Lilliannette was
\na lady from the old school
\nin the city and she
\nwalked with an aged
\ndignity that nobody else
\ncould imitate and she
\npassed by the guy by the
\nbarberpole as if he didn’t

\ncouldn’t ignore her
\nchallenge so he
\nflicked his cig
\nto the sidewalk
\nand he quickened his
\npace behind her
\nand she smiled as she
\nstopped at her doorway

\nthe young guy reached it
