I have had dreams,
\nbut I do not believe them,
\nthat there could be green in my yard
\nwhere now there is snow.<\/p>\n

That birds and flowers
\ncan inhabit trees and plots of earth
\nnow owned by winter crows
\nand slickly sculpted snow.<\/p>\n

That the raunchy chocolate
\nscent of whispering leafy trees
\nand the riot of bird courtship
\ncould fill this icy sterile heartscape.<\/p>\n

But these dreams of green,
\nare they facile fraudulent schemes\u2014
\nlike emailed fortunes from Nigeria\u2014
