You fall back into sleep like a feather onto a down pillow:

My assault on the sleep mechanism starts me screeching:
\nstanding beside the tracks while a giant steam locomotive
\ngleaming and glaring, grinds hot sparks off the tracks
\nwhen the engineer whacks the steam valve too hard.<\/p>\n
When I think of sleep,
\nit is all shovels and lifting
\nand levers and gears and clanging;
\nasking to sleep is like a village oaf
\nbegging for slops from
\nthe servants’ kitchen.<\/p>\n
I would love to loft off to the palace of sleep
\nbut your princess with the pea
\nis my kracken with the pile of steel junk
\nand every piece clangs in my head
\nwith every rasping bellow
