When I revisit the poems I wrote here
\nunder all these layers of since,
\nI delve drifiting sands, find amphorae
\nof seeds: they plant themselves
\nand bloom afresh: orchids, mushrooms,
\nfresh spring boughs of pussy willows,
\ncarrots, plums, potatoes, sweet basil.<\/p>\n
What grows in this garden of posts
\ncan live itself, a window into the living past;
\nand from each of these as I pass I hear
\nvoices, see figures washing like waves
\nonto a distant beach. We are all so young
\nthere, so involved in everything but since,
