Rodents and insects<br \/>\nunaccustomed to such pickings scurry around<br \/>\nthe margins of artistic lawns<!--more--> to attend.<br \/>\nNeighbours fuel up from behind custom-made<br \/>\nvenetian blinds like drivers slowing to gawk.<\/p>\n<p>The nightmare is framed by a yellow police ribbon<br \/>\nhaunted by an aura of dark smoke and the stench;<br \/>\nblinking, sleeping and waking will not dismiss it.<br \/>\nIt will always be the place that festering mismatch<br \/>\nsimmered into his knife slashes that trashed<br \/>\nher life in a parking lot. and exploded his furies<br \/>\nscreaming into everyone&#8217;s. The stink of ashes<br \/>\nsteals into kitchens and bedrooms\u2014looking<br \/>\nfor all the other kindling waiting for ignition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Peaceful neighbourhoods have their flames.
