Hang quietly by your toes inside my walls;
\ntwitter and scratch the itchy walls
\nas family needs outweigh privacy.
\nI wonder how you get upstairs:
\ndo you glide at night around our
\nsilent lamps, hoping for food?
\nDo you spend the day hooked
\ninto our drapes, imitating part
\nof a flower pattern, sleeping
\nwhile we glide around our
\nsilent furniture, with no
\ndiscernible purpose. Do you
\never watch us and wonder
\nwhy we have such tiny ears?
\nWhy we keep bumping into things?
\nWhy we spend so much time
\nheads up, but always look down?
\nHow such a creature can exist
\nand what is its purpose?
\nI think we wonder the same thing
