On the way out of the orchard store,
\nthe scent of the apples seduces
\nuntil I give in and grab one of the cool
\nfirm taut-skinned breasts from the bag
\nbefore I stash it in the trunk.
\nYes, I said “breasts.” Eating an apple
\nis like suckling; the fruit is so seductive:
\nround, firm, sweet, tangy, crisp, cool.
\nAnd red. As we drive down the hill
\ntoward the water and the main road,
\nI can feel my lips, my tongue,
\nall the inside of my mouth
\nyearning to crunch into it, feel
\nthe explosion of cool juice spraying
\nonto my tongue and releasing
\nthat sweet tangy scent that will
\nfill my head and then my dreams
