To grout the flagstones in my new walk
\nI obtained ten sealed plastic bags
\nof polycrete. The idea was to spread
\nthe polycrete so that it filled the spaces
\nbetween the rocks. Then I would sweep
\nthe polycrete off the rocks, leaving
\nspaces filled. Next, I would water
\nthe whole area until little puddles formed,
\nand leave it for some time to change
\nfirst to a gel, then to solid joints of grout.<\/p>\n
Horror of horrors!
\nWater had seeped
\ninto almost every bag,
\nleaving the sandy mix
\nunusable.<\/p>\n
I shake my head.<\/p>\n
There is a great jubilation
\nin certain parts of the scientific community
\nbecause sand saturated with water
\nhas been discovered near the south pole
\nof the moon. If only they had told me
\nthey needed water saturated sand.
