reports of flying saucers

[Google announces Google Earth 5]

At first, the planet appears as a small blue sphere
which rapidly expands until tan and green land masses
appear, surrounded by blue water through which the
contours of the bottom are evident. I manipulate my
control: I swoop toward the surface, accelerating;
and the planet appears to spin beneath me. I can zig
and zag, stop, study, resume my flight in any direction
with no regard for the laws of physics. I can zoom down
to my fisheye orb, instantly stop on any street and
observe, invisible. Let me set all silly speculation
to rest: I do not, nor do any of my species inhabit
a glass box in Area 51. I just like Googling around.
