Tilting at snowfall (revised)

Snow soon howls down
wind carved broken moon
sky cowled Queen glares

rise knight lash armour tight
cinch throaty drains with wool
gather lungs bellowed arsenal

chant valedictory oaths of joy
venture eye spitting cold
mount white walls adamantine

launch wide blade imperial
charge screaming battlements
stagger royal triumphant

[I posted yesterday’s original in the Wild Poetry Forum in the BIOFEEDBACK stream, and received some interesting critiques, which led to this revision. There will probably be more revisions.]
