Maple Syrup Slurping

Apple pie is best
warm and syrup dressed.
You can go with cheddar
but maple syrup’s better.

do people really eat apple pie with cheddar cheese? sounds interesting. re: syllables, you have

Maple Syrup Slurping——–6 for the title
Apple pie is best———–5 nice image
    warm and syrup dressed.—–5
    You can go with cheddar—–6
    but maple syrup’s better.—7

Is the number in each line important? the last line could say, “but maple’s is better.”—-6 syllables
Great for light verse on food, the eating of which would not make one lighter.
