Just a typo
made in a hurry
in a Facebook message
by somebody else
leafy upsidedown pyramids
that used to grace
edges of meadows
and roadsides
first pale then dying then
rotting upright
years after
gone to a fungus
imported from Europe
harbinger to zebra mussels
and purple loostrife
and African killer bees
and milk in starving black babies
that can’t digest it
and pharmaceutical experimentation
ah the global village

Not sure what the upside down pyramids were but this poem makes really nice sounds.
Good point about the pyramids. I have made an edit that may work to clarify. Thanks for the insight.
Interesting about the sounds. You are the second person in as many days to like the sound of one of my poems.
