Mint repels rodents
—their little sinuses
cannot abide the scent.
I was hoping bats were rodents
because sprigs of mint
are more friendly
than an eviction notice.
But bats are not rodents.
That means
I have to seal them out
before winter.
Not going to be easy
especially come Christmas.
