I usually “read” it quickly:
Tonight it took one shower,
While the purchaser steamed herself.
I flit through, wondering why
These vacuous pretty shells are
Newsworthy in the face of war
Famine and pestilence
Still, they’re rich and I’m not.
— as if that is important; give me
A mauve and golden sunset any day.
