My fingernails have grown long again
And I must trim them
This little clock of mine
Reminds me that time is a discarding process
Discard each day
Discard each week, phases of the moon, cycles of the sun
Sometimes I don’t notice
And I regret that little corner of reality untended
But my fingernails still grow
Time to wake up.
