In that well

That mouse
You know, that mouse
That piqued your interest
By putting you up on a chair
That time you were screaming
Yeah, that mouse.

Well, the cats
Had some fun last night as
Well as exercise for the mouse
In and around the clothes dryer as
Well as the couch in the living room
And, well, they caught him.

In a scene worthy of
Torquemada, they tossed him
Into the arena of objects of cat humour
And I think their careful attentions did him
In; at least, he seemed to be
Going into cardiac arrest.

Last seen, he departed hastily
Down our well.
Yes, the mouse was
Downed and drowned down
In our well.
