Cosmetic inference

Man,
replay that moment
in the middle of
really good
early morning sex
when you caught
a glimpse of her face
so into the experience
her skin pink, vibrant
eyes intense gleaming
exoticly shaded
— but look:

Young naked woman
damp from her shower
sits before the mirror
preparing

She is drying her hair
with blower and comb
it shines luxuriously
with healthy-seeming radiance

In the silence afterwards
she examines her manicure
pedicure, depillation
eyebrows, teeth
she applies base, blush,
eyeshadow, liner, mascara,
lip gloss, lip color

She examines the results:
Exotic, desirable:
Exactly like
the face of the woman
so into the experience . . .
